Recently, Feng Xie, a CHISPO partner, visited Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam as part of a delegation from the China Trademark Association. The delegation conducted business investigations and research activities and received a warm reception from the visited institutions.
In order to deepen the understanding between ASEAN countries, strengthen exchanges with intellectual property organizations in the region, and promote cooperation in the field of trademarks between them and China, CHISPO accompanied by the China Trademark Association, held in-depth discussions with relevant intellectual property organizations in Vietnam and other international organizations.
China Trademark Association Delegation Itinerary
On May 19, the China Trademark Association delegation held talks with the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore. The two sides had extensive discussions on the trademark examination systems of both countries, and the Singaporean side introduced the Singapore Trademark Electronic Application System.
On May 22, the China Trademark Association delegation visited the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia. The Malaysian side introduced the legal system for intellectual property protection in Malaysia, as well as the development process of the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia.
On May 23, the China Trademark Association delegation visited the Longjiang Industrial Park in Binh Duong Province, Vietnam. The investment and development of this comprehensive industrial park was made by Zhejiang Longjiang Investment Management Co., Ltd., a Chinese enterprise. During the visit, inquiries were made about the development of Chinese-funded enterprises in Vietnam and the protection of intellectual property rights.
On May 25, the China Trademark Association delegation visited the Vietnam Intellectual Property Association. The two sides conducted relevant exchanges on the similarities and differences in the trademark examination systems of both countries, and the China Trademark Association introduced the amendments to the Chinese Trademark Law to Vietnam.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future and the 20th anniversary of the China-ASEAN Expo. At this special time, CHISPO’s and the China Trademark Association visit to the three ASEAN countries holds great significance. CHISPO has gained fruitful results during this ASEAN trip, strengthening exchanges with ASEAN countries and even global countries. In this visit, CHISPO actively participated in discussions, conducted extensive research, gained in-depth understanding of the economic development and strategic directions in the field of trademarks in three ASEAN countries, enhanced learning and exchanges with relevant intellectual property organizations, and promoted connections and interactions between countries, laying a solid foundation for cooperation between China and other countries in the region.
